Have you recently started your own business? If so, you are more than likely wanting to promote your products or your service so that your business will grow. If your plans include participating in a trade show, from designing the trade show booth to ordering promotional gifts, here are some ideas that might help you.
The Trade Show Display
For course, the display will depend on what your business is. For example, if you are selling a particular type of merchandise, you'll more than likely want to display some of the items you sell. For example, if you sell children's books and toys, you'll want to have a sample of them in your booth. However, if you are promoting a business that provides a service, you'll have to think of how you can promote that service in a trade show display.
Say you've just opened your own tutoring service. If that's the case, consider displaying books, notebooks, and other learning tools. Then have drawings of boys and girls saying things like, Since I started tutoring, my grades have gone way up! Or, My tutor helped me to learn how to be a stronger reader.
Whether you are promoting items you sell or a service, think of how you can draw attention to your booth. Consider using bright colors in posters and other displays. Or, focus on using only one or two colors, like, say, black and white, and then use a third color where you want to place emphasis. For example, the wording could be done in red against the black and white display.
Promotional Gifts
You'll more than likely already have business cards ready to hand out to those who visit your trade show booth, right? Think of other things that will attract individuals to your booth. For example, if you have balloons to give away, adults might come so their children can receive a balloon. Think of promotional gifts that will remind potential customers of your business. Pens and letter openers are two items that will more than likely be used often. Cup holders or plastic cups with your logo on them is another idea for a promotional gift that will be used often.
Consider having one or two individuals who will help you to man the booth. That way there will always be two people at your display while a third one takes a break.
